This is a beautiful, completely restored 1950′s watch originally imported from Switzerland by Kent Watch & Co., the in-store brand of the Finlay jewelery departments within the New York chain of department stores owned by A.S. Hirshberg.
Late in 2005, a former client and friend, Dean Chrystal called saying he was developing a new product line of shampoos and conditioners that were infused with natural scents that could, in theory, help reduce ones desire to eat thereby becoming the first line of appetite suppressant hair products. He sent me his initial concept layouts for the product line he’d been calling “Celebrity Secrets”.
This is men’s tank watch from the early 1940′s created by Croton Watch Company, a 128-year old family run watch company located in New Jersey.
I started restoring watches in mid 2011 after seeing some very cool old watches on ebay.com that were being sold for parts. Basically each was missing hands, stems, rusted bands, broken crystals, you name it these watches were destine for the scrap piles not someone’s wrist.
Back around the beginning of the real estate implosion of 2007, there was a period when advertising was also changing so quickly (and not for the better), that I was thinking of focusing my business on pure graphic design.
A buddy was pitching his services to BizCard.com as an SEO expert and asked me to sit in on the meeting to make “his company” look bigger (more people than just him) and if a graphics question came up, he’d have someone else to actually answer those questions instead of B.S.ing his way through them.
These samples are from a multi-year print and collateral campaign developed for The RockResorts which was acquired by Vail Resorts in 2001.
At the time we created this campaign, our client Tabata had no actual advertising budget to develop a print campaign. But they did have a sizeable budget to produce a full-line product brochure.
