Automotive Experience

Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working on a number of automotive accounts including helping two different owner groups, each win the Toyota “New Point” dealerships they were pitching for.

The franchise and dealer groups I have worked on have included 5 Suzuki dealer groups in California, Washington and Colorado as well as the Scottsdale Motor Mile which I renamed from McDowell Motor Mile while I was VP/ECD at EB Lane in Phoenix.  At that time, the Motor Mile featured 23 individual brands and hadn’t yet started its accelerated demise which would come 3 years after I’d left EB Lane.  But as I say, “shit happens. brands don’t”.  Years earlier though, I also oversaw the creative portion of the $10 million Chrysler California account while I was at Bozell Worldwide in Los Angeles.

First of all, I love working on sheet metal and related accounts. But, my favorites have been the luxury lines at Penske which included the work I did for the Chandler Mercedes Dealership and my personal favorite, Bentley and Ferrari Dealerships of Scottsdale. There wasn’t a tremendous amount of work, but the print, outdoor and radio I created was exceptional — which the work had to be for those automotive lines.

I love your page, it’s nice when you can tell somebody actually puts the effort into their website.

Have you worked on any auto brands while in Japan? I saw on your resumé that your were the Executive Creative Director of Hakuhodo and that you pitched Suzuki out of Los Angeles.
