I thought it might be a good idea to put up a page on my blog that lists all of the marketing terminology and the meaning of each phrase as a simple reference guide. I’ve pulled these terms from the web over the past several years as well as from personal experience, in any case, the terminology and definitions still remain true.

I think the best compliment one creative person in advertising and design can pay another creative is to say, “I wish I’d done those.” Well, this page is dedicated to all those killer creatives out there that nailed it. I wish I’d done this work.
Type Design – Pitzer Rounded
I created Pitzer Rounded while I was an Associate Creative Director at Bozell Worldwide in Los Angeles, working on Chrysler, Kawasaki Motorcycles and Sega Genesis.
Entry Gate Design
Below are a few of the designs I submitted as possible design directions for the entry gates at Montaña Vista Estates located on the lower elevations of South Mountain overlooking Downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
Floor Plans & Elevation Sheets
This first group of floor plans and elevations sheets were created by Michael Pitzer at Pitzer Advertising & Design for our builder/developer client Quantum Development located in Chandler, Arizona. This set of spec sheets were developed for their Montaña Vista Estates sales packets ti be handed out at their project located at Dobbins Road in Phoenix, Arizona.
Honda Power Equipment
I was cleaning out files from our recent move from Arizona to Fresno and I came across these products sheets I’d created at Dailey & Associates when I first got out of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
HotSpring Spas
These are from a series of brochures we created for Watkins Manufacturing and their line of hot tubs and saunas while I was Creative Director at Sacks/Fuller in Los Angeles.
Data Sheet Design
I’ve created data and product spec sheets or two-sided fliers brochures for almost every technology, hardware, and consumer product company I have worked closely with over the decades.

Capital Valley Ventures (CVV) is a venture capital firm that specializes in early-stage funding for innovative technology businesses. They invest in software, communications, life sciences and other emerging technologies in the fast growing “Lake to the Bay” region, the area extending from Lake Tahoe/Reno, NV through Sacramento, CA to the East Bay of San Francisco, CA.
New Biz – CVIN
CVIN (The Central Valley Independent Network, LLC), is a joint enterprise of affiliates of independent telephone companies in central and northern California providing advanced networking and services for 18 counties within the California Central Valley area.
