The series of award-winning outdoor boards shown below were created for the Southern California JiffyLube Dealer Association by Cary Sacks and Michael Pitzer at Sacks/Fuller, Los Angeles. These boards, along with the radio campaign, outperformed the national advertising creative campaign by 12.5%. Not our numbers, theirs.

I recently went to Jiffy Lube in my home town and was very disappointed in the lack of service. I noticed that they just check off items and don’t actually do them.I had to take the car to my mechanic and get a new oil cap from the dealer and steam clean the engine. Jiffy Lube paid for theses items but they seemed real put out to have to do so. My car is a 2000 model and the engine could have seized. At the car wash I told the manager and he told me that Jiffy Lube sends customers there all the time. Do you know who I can talk to about the poor service I got?

Have you noticed that you never need an appointment to drop off your car? How can they do that when dealerships can’t fit you in until a few days down the road. I love Jiffy Lube and the work you created for them. You both ROCK!

When I got out of art school and started in advertising, I was always told, “Use a pun, go to jail!” Apparently, you get to use ‘em and go to awards shows. lol
