Over the years I have had the pleasure of working on one of the most rewarding categories for any ad agency or creative — hospitality, which requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in three critical areas: the hospitality industry, advertising & marketing, and the Internet.

What follows is a summary for each of the properties I’ve created and overseen the development of creative in both traditional and new media spaces for a diverse group of destination hotels and resorts.

Located on beautiful Orcas Island in Washington State, San Juan Islands, Rosario Resort  & Spa is a member of the Historic Hotels of America and has long been a favorite destination for travelers seeking relaxation and unparalleled beauty in the Pacific Northwest. Rosario offers 116 comfortably appointed guest rooms and suites spread out over 30 waterfront acres.

La Posada sits on six beautifully landscaped acres, the pueblo-revival style resort is defined by the smooth brown surfaces of adobe architecture, with Kiva fireplaces, the viga and lattia ceilings. It is picturesque and awash in art. In July 2008 La Posada completed a $6 million renovation project that included an additional dining facility, revamped public spaces and guest rooms.

Perched above Beaver Creek Village, The Pines Lodge offers incomparable views and legendary service. The cozy ski-in/ski-out lodge not only has access to some of the best skiing in Colorado, but is also immersed in the world-class shopping and entertainment of Beaver Creek. The lodge provides a warm, intimate experience, with just 60 guest rooms and a small selection of deluxe condominiums and townhomes.

Elegantly enveloped within the Santa Rosa Mountain range, The Lodge at Rancho Mirage is located on a 650-foot bluff overlooking world-famous Palm Springs and a picturesque valley. This luxurious Palm Springs hotel boasting 260 guest rooms with 30 suites, is thoughtfully-designed to complement its desert mountain location by featuring natural elements of stone, wood and fire – which reflect the local landscape, hues and culture.

The Keystone Lodge & Spa is a, Award-winning AAA Four Diamond resort, surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and thousands of acres of national forest close to Denver, making it the ideal choice for winter sports enthusiasts visiting Keystone, Colorado.

The Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa, is the ultimate choice among San Francisco Bay Area hotels showcasing both sophisticated cottage décor and contemporary design. Poised on a lush hillside overlooking Richardson Bay, the 63 guest room hotel is located on the waterfront in downtown Sausalito, a picturesque and upscale Bay Area community north of San Francisco, located just across the Golden Gate Bridge and in close proximity to Napa and Sonoma wine countries.

Known in various times in its illustrious life as the Marsh Tavern, Thaddeus Munson’s New Inn, Widow Black’s Inn, Vanderlip’s Hotel, The Taconic, The Orvis Hotel, and Equinox House, Equinox today stands as a symbol of the history and lifestyle of New England since 1769.

Since 1946 the historic Cheeca Lodge & Spa has enchanted guests with world-class fishing, exceptional accommodations, and gracious hospitality. With one of most beautiful and secluded private beaches in Florida, Cheeca Lodge is an exhilarating tropical playground. From tennis and golf, the lavish Spa at Cheeca, and fishing off the end of the 525-foot pier to snoozing in a hammock on the beach, how best to relax is entirely up to the guest.

Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, this European-inspired lodge was Vail’s first, and, as such, offers a prime location-right in the center of Vail Village next to the Vista Bahn chairlift.

Keystone features several villages which all have free village shuttle service to the slopes of three different mountains to chose from during the ski season with River Run Village and the The Mountain House village offer the closest access to the slopes.

Are you familiar with the Woodbine Hotel? It started off as the Dufferin Hall when it was built by Peter Sutherland in 1878 at a cost of $1,000 . Just a two-storey wood frame building 22 feet wide and about 40 feet long. In 1881 it was sold and its name was changed to the Woodbine to appeal to expatriates from eastern Canada familiar with the Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto. Apparently, it was only a saloon, with no rooms to rent, so when Edward H. Hebb bought the hotel in 1889, and turned the second floor into a dining room and billiard hall. Just wanted to share that with you as the Woodbine is as unique as the RockResort properties.
